Working on backend systems at my current company, building and integrating services for large-scale and enterprise environments..

Most of my time goes into designing APIs, workflow systems, and improving reliability of production services.

Learning

Lately I’ve been thinking a lot about:

• Software architecture and system design
• Message-driven systems and event-based workflows
• Building resilient backend systems
• The idea of apprenticeship and engineering craft

Building

Outside work I like experimenting with small tools and side projects.

Mostly backend experiments, utilities, and ideas around developer learning platforms.

Writing

I write essays on software development, learning, and the craft of building systems.

Life

Based in Tanzania.

Most days are a mix of building systems, reading, writing ideas, and trying to understand things a little more deeply.
